Media Blasting, which is suitable for a wide range of surfaces such as silos, tanks and bins interior and exterior, is typically performed for a least one of the three reasons:

Media Blasting was historicaly referred to as sand blasting. Sand used as a blasting media has been determinate a potential health hazard. Beacon Industrial Cleaning Inc. will not use sand, as media for any of our surface cleaning projects.
Depending of the surface the environments and final objective, there are variety of materials that can be used in media blasting, which is divided into two categories:
Abrasive Blasting
- Include any and all media except dry ice
- Comprises a broad array of media such as:
- Sodium bicarbonate (or Soda Blasting)
- Walnut shells
- Glass beads
Dry Ice Blasting
- Employ low abrasive media using CO2 ( Dry ice) Pellets in high velocity
- Offers elimination of messy clean up as major advantage because dry ice evaporates at the impact
- Can save media- cleaning related time cost
